GymTempo is a workout app for people who already train. No coach. No paywall on the basics. Just a fast workout logger.
Why it exists
Every workout app I tried felt wrong. The minimal ones forced me into spreadsheets to track progression. The ambitious ones buried logging under tabs of AI advice and social feeds. The popular ones charged me ten bucks a month to record a set of squats.
So I wrote my own. It became what I use every gym session, and now it’s here for anyone who wants the same thing.
Who’s behind it
I’m Alex — a senior software engineer. GymTempo is a one-person project, built in evenings and weekends, with one rule: if a feature doesn’t make sense to me, it doesn’t ship.
What it is
A progressive web app. Installs to your home screen. Works offline. Syncs your data across devices.
The core stays free - building plans, logging sets, swapping exercises when the rack is busy. A small premium tier will arrive later for people who want extras like deep analytics or training history exports. That’s the whole roadmap.
What it isn’t
An AI coach. A social network. A subscription trap. A way to sell you supplements. None of those.
